Description: The Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort and Spa is a luxury resort located south of the equator on Villingili Island, on the southern-most tip of Addu Atoll. Built in the resort's lagoon on stilts and connected to the island by a timber walkway, each Water Villa has an open and airy atmosphere. Luxuriously appointed with 166 sq m of space by having few walls and using glass to allow for unobstructed views. Each villa offers contemporary Asian design that blends traditional and modern elements. Furnishings feature hues of sea blue and turquoise.

Beach Villas (29)
Spacious, 189-sq m stand-alone built along the fine white sandy beach of Villingili island. Set over two separate pavilions - on one side there is a living pavilion, on the other the bedroom pavilion. Entry is via a thatched-roof entry-gate through a landscaped courtyard leading to the rustic timber door of the villa’s entrance. Every Beach Villa features both an indoor and outdoor shower and a private terrace that leads to the beach. All the villa furniture is custom-made and selected to complement the villas interiors and artworks. The Villas are decorated with warm, earthy-toned fabrics finished in soothing turquoise with silver Jali accessories. Ideal for families or couples.

Villa Laalu
Spacious and stylish, this presidential beach villa is the jewel in the resort's crown. Laalu means ‘diamond’ in the local Dhivehi language. Large 957 sq m villa dotted with high-end Asian artifacts, sculptures and urns from Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Features 2 x large bedrooms with high ceilings, an extensive garden, round-the-clock in-villa dining can be enjoyed in the living room with timber-decked verandahs, or in the air-conditioned or al fresco dining pavilions. Muthee ‘pearl’ in the local Dhivehi language, offers a peaceful escape with stunning vistas. This presidential water villa features stunning timber rafters creating a heightened sense of space, but at 570 square metres, it features an airy living room decorated with Asian art. Housed in a self-contained entertainment pavilion fronted by a 16-metre pool. Tropical contemporary style with Eastern influences like Lipao teak with mother of pearl accents and other customised furnishings.
